Northwood NeighborhoodsÂ
Northwood isn't just one uniform neighborhood, it's a collection of distinct pockets, each with its own character, that together create the larger Northwood community.
To better understand this concept, I've created this visual map to help showcase the different areas and explain their unique qualities.
Northwood Hills
Vibes: Historic, charming, quiet and family friendly
This area of Northwood is set apart from the rest of the neighborhood and rests on one of the highest natural peaks in South Florida! The star of the show here is the figure eight streets which connects the neighborhoods north and south homes.
This area is great for families, investors, and first-time home buyers.
Historic Old Northwood
Vibes: Historic architecture, strong community, walkability
Historic Old Northwood encompasses Northwood Village which boasts fun, artsy store fronts and favored local restaurants. The area is best known for the architecture with beautiful homes designed by J. William Manly King, John Volk, and Maurice Fatio.
Old Northwood also has a great sense of community. The Northwood Kids club puts on an annual Halloween party, and the neighborhood hosts a Holiday Home walking tour every December.
Northwood Shores
Vibes: Waterfront, luxury, unique
Known best for its beautiful waterfront homes on Flagler Drive, Northwood Shores is a waterfront destination. This sought after area boasts three former Kipps Bay Show Homes that have brought a lot of attention to the Northend of West Palm Beach.
Northboro Park
Vibes: Walkable, historic, quaint
Northboro Park is a small historic area sandwiched between Northwood Shores and the Estates at Nomar. It's home to Flagler Landing and Northboro Elementary school. The homes in the area are close to the Rybovich Superyacht Marina and waterfront dining at La Marina.
The Estates at NOMAR by GL Homes
Vibes: New build, luxury, customizable
100 Brand new homes encompass the GL Homes NOMAR project. With the ability to choose from seven different single family home models starting at 1.8 million and going up to 3 million these homes are the picture of customizable luxury while keeping proximity to Downtown West Palm Beach.
Northwood Harbor
Vibes: Historic, up & coming, waterfront proximity, new development
Northwood Harbor, although historic, is home to three new condo developments on Flagler Drive. The Mandarin Oriental Residences, Apogee, and Alba have all chosen to call this area home marking exciting new development for the Northend.
The homes in this area are quaint, and the area is quickly up and coming. The prices are starting to reflect the upcoming change with more families seeking to move into the Northwood neighborhood.
Non-Historic Northwood
Vibes: Investor friendly, up & coming, non-historic
Non-historic Northwood is an investor's paradise with great lot sizes that are perfect for future development. We're starting to see the area change with single family developers coming to the area to build new homes in the non-historic area.
